Frequently asked Questions:

77070.jpgWhy three coats of polyurethane?
We've found three coats of polyurethane to be ideal for maintaining your floors in normal conditions—without excessive traffic. Durability approx. 10 years. Two coats will only keep your floors in good shape for about 4 years.

Is this process Messy?
Yes, although dust containment system sanders & edgers are connected to our vacuums it is not Dust Free. We do our best to plastic off doorways and other procedures. Please take your own precautions as we can't be held responsible for dust intrusion.

Will I have to leave the house while the work is being done?
No, not unless you're allergic to dust, fumes or polyurethane. Polyurethane is not toxic but DOES produce nausea and discomfort. If you are pregnant, we do not recommend you expose yourself to polyurethane acrylics. Fumes may last up to 24 hours after the job is completed, maybe more in less ventilated areas.

What do I do with my animals?
Animals are sensitive to sound and smell. It is your responsibility to keep your animals out of the work area.

Will you move my furniture?
Plan on having the furniture removed before we arrive. Ask your movers, relatives, friends or neighbors to help to remove contents.

Who cleans up once the job is finished?
We try to clean as best as possible, but we are not responsible for any clean up other than the floor.
